Night Out

These photos were taken almost 3 years ago back in California. Hubby's previous company is kind enough to host an annual date night for all the employees. It's a night to socialize with everybody. Great food and wine, awesome entertainment, and party all night long!

I always love going to this kind of event. Speaking of which, hubby and I are going to USAAs annual party this coming Saturday. I'm so excited because it's our first.

The Rattler

Would you dare to ride this 65mph thrilling ride for 3 minutes? I bet some of you would. Hubby went on this ride a couple of times during USAA's company picnic.

If you are to ask someone what their fondest memory of high school is, they are most likely to mention their prom night. Prom night is something that every student looks forward to. They spend weeks preparing for the event and they make sure that they attend to every detail to make sure that the night goes well for them and their friends. Do you know how to play RISK? Risk is one of the most played board games in the Dias family specially during family gatherings like easter, thanksgiving, and christmas. Honestly, I'm not really good at this game...lol!

After we had our Thanksgiving dinner, we all played Risk except Akesha. I was expecting to get kicked out first, but hubby made a wrong moved and he's out of the game. Later on, I decided to let hubby take over my set because I got tired of doing my turns and I was running out of strategies...lol!

Risk is by far the hardest board game I've ever played in my life...lol! Risk isn't the most complex game in the world, but knowing some basic strategies will help you win more than your fair share of games.

Thanksgiving 2009

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Just a quick update before we feast our Thanksgiving desserts....pies!

This photo was taken 2 years ago back in California. With me is my 2 sister-in-laws (Mexican & Nicaraguan) and my pretty niece Clara. We roasted a pretty huge 35-pound turkey. I actually miss celebrating holidays with the Dias family, too bad we don't live there anymore.

Taz's Tornado

This swing ride is fun for kids and parents. Hubby and Akesha went on Taz's Tornado ride at Fiesta Texas last weekend.

Kids will love swinging fast and wild from this giant Tasmanian Devil's multiple brown arms. No height min. w/adult, 42" min. to ride alone. No infants. Adults must be accompanied by a child under 54".

Christmas Tree 2010

With Thanksgiving just a few days away and Christmas just around the corner, I am sure everyone is busy scurrying around getting ready for the Holidays. Is your Christmas tree ready yet? Ours is not set up yet, I've just pulled out my Christmas decorations the other day. My daughter is super excited to help me decorate the tree.

Planning Next Year's Vacation

I got a great news from my husband the other day. He told me that maybe we can take a long vacation next year and use his 3 weeks saved PTO. I really would like to go to Italy. Hopefully our plan next year will push through. Weeks ago we went out of town and drove almost 2 hours to get to Love Creek Orchards.

This place has plenty of activities, they have a story time area, the bat cave, train ride, the hay ride around the orchard, an arts and crafts tent, pony ride area, a hay maze, a scare crow dress up corner, and a paint your pumpkin area. There's snacks and food sold too but its cash only and it's really not worth the price.
