Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck

This is Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck also known as Tyrolean State Theatre. It is the state theatre in Innsbruck, Austria located near the historic Altstadt (Old Town) section of the city. Archduke Ferdinand Karl had the court theater built on this place between 1653-1655. The original theater was converted into Classical style by the Venetian architect Giuseppe Segusini between 1844 and 1846. A striking feature of the building are the four Corinthian pillars at the main entrance. The main theatre has about 800 seats and the studio theatre in the basement has around 250. Plays, operas, operettas, musicals and dance theatre are performed at the theatre. #landestheater #theater #innsbruck #austria #europe #landmark #travel #diasfamilyadventures
