⬅️⬅️⬅️This ornate cathedral like structure is the New Town Hall in Marienplatz. Surprisingly this town hall is still in use today. It houses Munich’s city council, mayor’s office, and the headquarters of the city administration. This 262' Gothic building was built in 1800s, it has 400 rooms with a richly decorated main facade facing the Marienplatz. The basement is almost completely occupied by a large restaurant and some rooms are rented for small businesses. Also located in the ground floor is the major official tourist information.. . This is by far the most fascinating city hall I have ever seen. It's over the top! I could spend a whole hour just discovering all the different and intricate themes of the decor. It's astounding! Don't miss this iconic landmark if you happen to visit Munich, Germany. #newtownhallmarienplatz #marienplatz #marianplatzsquare #munich #germany #europe #travel #diasfamilyadventures #tbt #throwback A post shared by Dhemz Apdian - Dias (@mrsd2083) on Sep 14, 2017 at 11:18am PDT
