Parks

The theme for this week's Mommy Moments is "Parks". I have quite a few park pictures to share but I just can't find some of them in my photo folder.
Our favorite park is the Woodlawn Lake Park.  We had our 2010 family pictorial at this park.
Akesha likes to go to this place. She loves to feed and chase the ducks around. 
It's a great place and good for bike riding.

No Sew Pillow Covers

I did this project a couple of years ago. It's called "no sew pillow covers". Since I don't have any knowledge of sewing, I decided to just browsed the web and found THIS really cool tutorial.
I really enjoy doing this activity because sewing is unnecessary. How cool is that! This is the first pillow cover I made, I love the result. I also used other floral fabrics. It looks better than this one though. I was going to share the photo but I just can't find the picture of it. 
I no longer use this pillow covers because I have some new ones that are made by mamiAdin.

Yardwork

Here's my entry for this week's ABC Wednesday, Y is for YARDWORK.
Hubby and I are trying hard to improve our yard. Instead of hiring a professional landscaper, we decided to just do it on our own. Project like this is quite expensive.
Our yard is getting a whole lot better now. We still need more plants and other yard stuff.

Hummingbird

Hummingbirds are one of my favorite birds. They are just cute. I just get excited every time I see a hummingbird....can't imagine holding one!
This little fella accidentally flew into our garage weeks ago. Hubby was trying to catch it but the bird was frantic and so desperate to get out. Hubby starting to get frustrated after a few minutes of chasing the bird around. So, I came to the rescue and dragged a bar stool. I reached up and carefully closed my hand around its small wings. I caught a hummingbird!
His body is so fragile. So cute and tiny. We set him free after a few minutes of mesmerization and pictorial...lol!
