Nellis Air Force Base

Nellis Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. It is seven nautical miles (13 km) northeast of the central business district of Las Vegas. Nellis is the location of the United States Air Force Warfare Cente and is a major training location for both U.S. and foreign military aircrews.
The main base covers approximately 11,300 acres (4,600 ha). Sixty-three percent of it is undeveloped, while the remaining area is either paved or contains structures.
These photos were taken during our stay at Nellis AF base (06/10). We stayed there for 2 weeks.
The base consists of three major functional areas.
- Area I includes the airfield and most of the mission support functions.
- Area II is east of Area I and contains the munitions area.
- Area III is across Las Vegas Boulevard from Area I. It contains housing, Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital, and open space.
Hubby's friend took these photos while working. I think he's sorting some supplies like bullets, masks, etc...you know military stuff.
All wrapped-up just in case he falls.

Wow, it's really nice to know how the army or navy are sorted here in America. Makes us feel secured. lol. I'm guessing Dhemz that your hubby still works in the Navy until now? We had some friends who had their husbands deployed to Iraq. Been hearing news that they're coming to America again. Ano ba yan, confusing. Anyway, GOD BLESS YOU AND HUBBY AND AKESH ALWAYS!

The air force base you went to is really a swell base. It's a lot better than our own air force bases here in the Phils. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
