ABC Wednesday: O is for Orca

I've missed joining ABC Wednesday for 2 weeks. Oh boy, pardon me if I wasn't able to participate. Anyhow, here's my entry for this week. O is for ORCA! Here are some of Shamu's action shots! Photos were taken at SeaWorld San Antonio.
The killer whale (Orcinus orca), commonly referred to as the orca, and less commonly as the blackfish, is a toothed whale belonging to the oceanic dolphin family. Killer whales are found in all oceans, from the frigid Arctic and Antarctic regions to tropical seas.
T Killer whales as a species have a diverse diet, although individual populations often specialize in particular types of prey. Some feed exclusively on fish, while others hunt marine mammals such as sea lions, seals, walruses and even large whales.
Mama whale and the baby whale. Shamu and companion killer whales eat 200 pounds each day.

200 pounds a day ang kinakain niyan? Wow, mamumulubi pala tayo kapag nagalaga tayo nang killer whale. Baka tayo ang tsibugin niyan kapag wala na tayong maipakain, lol. Great that there is a show of killer whales at Sea World at San Antonio. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
