Community Week Celebration

It was 6 years ago when I worked as an accounting clerk at our local Municipal Office in the Philippines.  I got hired right after I graduated from college. I was pretty lucky working at a government sector. Some people thought I got hired because my father is a politician and he's friends with the Mayor.....waaa! I proved them wrong, and I worked my b**t off and showed them that I am qualified for the job.
I love working at Treasury Department. And I miss working with my "ates" and "kuyas". After 10 months of experience, my life has changed in the blink of an eye. I got married and left the Philippines...waaaaaa!
Debits, credits, payroll..budget....lol! I seriously miss my job. Lucky is the person who replaced my position.
During our community week parade...I used to be a MUSE...nyahahhaa!
Thanks badingding for hosting this meme....:)

What a beautiful muse you were in that parade. Your work in the government was indeed memorable before you got married and was brought to the US. Now the past is surely nostalgic as you face a different world in your adopted land. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

WOW! Dapat lang muse jud uy, hehe!

You're lucky to have been hired right away. We can't blame these people for thinking that there's someone behind the immediate hiring. In the government, it's always "whom you know" not "What you know". It has been a prevalent notion. Good thing you proved them wrong.

I used to be in the private sector for 6 years before i've worked for the government. I could tell the differences. I have actually blogged about it before:

THE IDEAL BUREAUCRACY: IS IT ATTAINABLE IN THE PHILIPPINES?

Anyways, inggit jud ang wa nahire auto kay jobless, LOL!

Thanks for sharing, Dhemz.
