My husband and I live here in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up here and we met in college so this is where we’ve made a lovely home. His parents also live here as well and up till recently in my husband David’s childhood home. My husband speaks very fondly of his childhood and especially about the big house they grew up in. But with a large house and yard comes a big responsibility. And taking care of the place just began to be too much for his parents. It broke my husband’s heart but he understood that it was time to let go of the house and begin looking for an Atlanta active adult community for his parents.
Their entire family is very close for such a big family, he has two brothers and a sister. And believe it or not they all live in the Atlanta area. So finding a place for his parents around here became a “must” on the wish list of requirements for a spot for his parents to live.
After an online search we quickly narrowed the list tow three or four, but after visits to all of the communities on the list, one became very clear as the stand out option. It’s a place less than 50 miles northeast of Atlanta called Cresswind.
As we drove past the stunning waterfall entrance and into Cresswind at Lake Lanier his parents, especially mom, got excited. They’ve got a variety of 2 and 3 bedroom ranch-style floor plans (some with basements) to fit any lifestyle. Shopping, dining, area conveniences and an array of arts, cultural and recreational activities, as well as access to some of the finest healthcare services in northeast Georgia are just outside the beautiful, waterfall entrance of this private, gated community. It rocks! Sold!
When traveling as a family it can be tempting to purchase a timeshare for the extra space and amenities. If you bought a timeshare that you no longer want, a timeshare termination company like Omni Ellis can help you get rid of the timeshare.
