#Schlitterbahn Beach Resort & Waterpark, South Padre Island | #BahnLove

My family and I just got back from a fabulous Spring Break getaway in Schlitterbahn Waterpark & Resort, South Padre Island. It was quite a long drive for us from San Antonio but worth the trip!
We arrived at the resort around seven in the evening. We were greeted at the lobby and taken care of quickly by friendly staff, and got our wristband keys.
Schlitterbahn Resort at South Padre Island offers wristbands that function as room keys and virtually any park purchases can be charged directly back to your room. I just loved the idea of RFID enabled wristband!
We had the best Beach Front Double Queens room accommodation! This Beach Front View room features two queen sized beds; amenities include a high definition flat-screen TV, mini-refrigerator, and microwave. The housekeeping attendant did an excellent job for keeping our room neat and clean each day
Just FYI, majority of the wood at the Schlitterbahn Beach Resort is refurbished. In most rooms the cabinets, coffee tables, nightstands, and headboards are made from Loblolly pines wood reclaimed after the devastating Bastrop forest fires in 2011.
Schlitterbahn's indoor heated waterpark is open all year round in South Padre Island and it's a great place to chase away the cold weather. The indoor waterpark used to be a large green house. Unbelievable! It amazes me how it transformed into a gorgeous indoor waterpark!

Here are the list of the Hotel & Waterpark Attractions: Blackbeard's Twister, Grand Carousel, Lafitte's Cyclone, Mega Blast, Palapa Swim-up Bar, Palm Beach, Pirate's Cove, Playa Beach, Seaside Pool, and Torrent-Los Rios Azul. Don't forget to check out the Seaside Grill! We absolutely loved our food and dessert! You got to try them! They serve fantastic food at reasonable prices.
My family's personal favorite attraction was the Torrent Wave River. This river adventure lets you and your family enjoy a fun-filled float with waves pushing you around.
One of the reasons why my family and I love Schlitterbahn is the fact that they offer such family-friendly and money saving amenities, and allow guests to bring in their own food. Easy access to the pristine beach of the Gulf of Mexico and free Wi-Fi! Too bad we didn't get to experience the Outdoor Waterpark. The Outdoor Waterpark is only open during the summer season. Looking for coupons for your trip?  Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our stay in Schlitterbahn Beach Resort, South Padre Island. I would highly recommend this resort to everyone. The only resort that offers exciting waterpark adventures on the island.

Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets and accommodation for my family to visit Schlitterbahn Beach Resort, South Padre Island through a partnership between Schlitterbahn and the US Family Guide bloggers.

I love the queen size beds! My husband constantly complains about me hogging the bed (we do have a queen size bed at home). Haha. Great place, very cozy with lots of fun things to do. Thanks for sharing!
