Oh my, the museum is unbelievably massive and larger than 18 football fields and is home to the largest natural history collection in the world.
Did you know that the iconic 12-ton and 14-foot African elephant has graced the Museum’s Rotunda since 1959? And his name is Henry!
In 2015 Henry was carefully cleaned and patched with special hand-colored beeswax, and his platform was redesigned. Pretty interesting!
