San Antonio city also known as Military City, USA is one of the nation's largest active and retired military populations. My family and I are comfortably living here for 9 years, and it's amazing to be surrounded by military people wherever you go around San Antonio.
I was once an active military spouse, and I am sure a lot military spouses can relate to me that being part of a military family can be both incredibly rewarding and challenging sometimes. I honestly didn't always like being married to a military. I hated being away from my husband and taking care of my daughter by myself. But now when I look back I thought it was a wonderful and the most rewarding experience for my family. I'm glad my husband is retired now after serving over 21 years in the military and is currently working at a company that caters to military members and veterans and their families.
Wow, Johnsonville brought its world famous 65-foot Big Taste Grill to San Antonio for a cookout in advance of Military Spouse Appreciation Day and Mother’s Day weekend!
Johnsonville is a family owned and operated company with strong family values. They are committed to giving back to the community and supporting those who serve. The Big Taste Grill tours the country raising money for local charities and non-profit organizations. I admire how Johnsonville proudly supports service members and their families and threw an event to honor them.
One of the highlights of the event was meeting the "The Admiral"! Johnsonville teamed up with former professional basketball player and Navy veteran, David “The Admiral” Robinson. He is very down to earth and even grilled some brats for everyone!
Johnsonville brats are no doubt the perfect addition to any type of family gathering or cookout. We had a wonderful experience. Thank you Johnsonville for giving back to those who serve. It was a great event!
Follow Jonhsonville on their social media accounts and check out the tour schedule to see if the #BigTasteGrill is coming to a city near you!

This looks like it would have been a great event to attend. Being around other military families would have been fun. Meeting The Admiral would be a highlight for me! I was a fan when he was a player in the NBA!
This is so amazing. As a military family, we have benefited from so many great brands (like Johnsonville) over the years.
What a phenomenal cause! I am all about giving back to those who have given back! We all deserve praise and accolade for our hard work!
So cool! We were invited to go as well, but we had other plans and couldn't make it. It looks like it was a wonderful event. I love their brats!
what a fun event! it looks like there were a lot of activities and some great food.
That's so cool that Johnsonville is honoring our veterans and active duty military! They definitely need to be commended for a job well done!

What a lovely event and I can see you guys are having a blast there. It is great to learn that the weather is also good that day.
Well this looks like a great time to be had! I'm not a sausage fan but my kids are!
That looks amazing! I was an active duty spouse and it was hard to connect with people in our home town when we returned after his enlistment. There are so few here, but our home town is so small. Even though it is, there are still many things that the community gets together to do, to support our military and it really warms the heart.
Oh that’s cool, to be around other families like yours and coming together over a meal, love it. I come from a military family and it’s pretty awesome to have others to relate to,
This looks like a fun event. I would love to attend next time.
