The Ark Encounter is a one-of-a-kind historically themed attraction in Williamstown, Kentucky. In an entertaining, educational, and immersive way, it presents a number of historical events centered on a full-size, all-wood Ark, which is the largest timber-frame structure in the USA.
It was opened exactly 3 years ago today. The size is 510 feet (155 m) long, 85 feet (26 m) wide, and 51 feet (16 m) high. Wait until you see the inside!
Every single detail has been thought of from large to small. The exhibits are very well organized and there are narrative signs, picture stories, videos, and displays that bring the event of Noah and the Ark to life.
We were mesmerized by the scope and accuracy that was put into building the Ark. The quality of the craftsmanship is exceptionally astounding.
My family and I had an awesome experience. I have to say that whatever your belief or perspective, this is definitely worth a visit.
If you look closely, you will notice a cross shining overhead. Pretty cool! No, that is not the entrance to the ark though.
