Let's Support Walgreens!

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Driving to the nearest Walgreens pharmacy and having their prescription filled is no longer an option for patients who have health plans under Express Scripts. This is because the contract between Walgreens and Express Scripts has expired last December 31. This means that as of January 1, 2012, Walgreens will no longer be a part of the pharmacy provider network of Express Scripts. Customers have not been very keen about this because they realize the inconvenience that this would cause them. If their health plans under Express Scripts no longer allow them to have their prescription filled at any of Walgreens’ conveniently located branches, they may be forced to either change pharmacist or travel to another pharmacy that is too far away from their residence. Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens offers several benefits that members can avail of. This club has been launched by Walgreens in their effort to provide a more cost effective, convenient and quality pharmacy services to customers. They want to provide affordable health care plans to as many customers as possible. Benefits include discounts on over 8,000 brand named and all generic medications as well as savings on nebulizers and diabetic supplies purchases. Information will be available when you follow Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook. Do you know that Walgreens is offering a special discount on annual membership for its Prescription Savings Club for the month of January? You should check it our for more details.
