How to Plan a Good Family Picnic

Family picnics are the perfect times for you to bond with the kids. You are always help up most of the time, so to have all your loved ones close to you is a real reason to smile. Sure, the whole family is going to be brimming with ideas on where they want to go and how they want to do it, but planning is the most important part of the gig. You can have great picnic ideas, but without a plan or consensus, then you might as well sit outside and watch some paint dry. However, when everything is executed to perfection, you are going to see smiles all around.

Here is how to go about it:
Get the family to agree
You are going to have an avalanche of ideas about what everyone wants to do and where they want to go, and for a while, the sitting room is going to sound like one of those nights out at Wembley. However, this is a good thing because it means that everyone is fired up. You will need to find a common ground between what people want to do and what is realistic. Always take every person’s ideas into consideration. One thing you need to make sure before getting your family to agree is to make sure you have a family picnic baskets big enough for your family.

Find time
This is going to be the hardest part, more so if you are a large family. Some people will be at work or school when you are not held up, and others will be tied up in any manner of commitments. Try to arrive at a weekend when everyone is free. If you find that some people might be unavailable on the weekend of choice, simply move the date forward.

Seek a suitable location
Forget the park or football stadium-this has to be a unique trip. Non-crowded spots are great for families as you can bond without interference from crowds or noise. To avoid last-minute snags, find as much as you can about the accessibility of the places you want to go to.
