If you don’t mind walking, there are several hiking trails to glorious lakes and stunning waterfalls. In the winter months, you have the option to go skiing or embarking on snowshoe trails.
Gooseberry Falls State Park
With easy trails and a scenic gorge, it’s no wonder thousands of tourists visit Gooseberry Falls State Park each year. There are various log buildings that you can check out, which were built by the CCC (Civilian Conversation Corps) back in the 1930s. Exhibitions and concessions are held throughout the year, which gives you more of an insight into the park’s origins.
