Life on the Water
The peninsula that is the state of Florida has a lot of coastline, which means it hosts a lot of opportunities for water sports and other activities. You can go sailing or snorkeling or even take a cruise from one of the many ports in the state. In addition to the breathtaking view you get when you gaze out at the ocean or the gulf, some of the coastal cities also offer speedboat tours of their amenities. If you love the water, Florida is the place for you.

Food and Fun
It's hard to find good seafood inland, but you never have to worry about that when you visit Florida. The catch of the day is always ready to order. You can experience the different cuisines of many of the cultures that give the state its unique personality. There are many food-related tours, such as the walking tour of Little Havana. If you want to make dinner more of an entertainment experience, you can try something like the dinner train rides near Bradenton Florida. No matter what kind of food you like or how you prefer to enjoy it, Florida has something for you.

Make a Day of It
Just because you have booked a week in the same hotel, that doesn't mean you have to stay there all the time. There are several day trips you can take to learn more about the state of Florida. You can look into both the country's history and see its future at the Kennedy Space Center. There are several ecotours you can take, whether you prefer river tours to see the manatees or an excursion to see the mangrove forests. Florida has a plethora of theme parks, museums, zoos and landmarks to inform you and fill you with wonder, and many of them may be within a day's reach of wherever you're staying.

A day (or five) at the beach may sound like heaven, but don't discount the myriad of other attractions that Florida has to offer. You may not have time to see everything, but you can find a lot to enjoy during your visit.
