Zaanse Schans

I'm glad we took a day trip to Zaanse Schans and experience the Dutch countryside. We were able to see authentic Dutch houses, windmills, a tinware factory, wooden shoe workshop, a cheese and dairy factory and other crafts.
One thing I missed during our trip to Holland: TULIPS fields!
⬅️⬅️⬅️ Postcard perfect and unique scenic location. Oh, Zaanse Schans!
Zaanse Schans is located in a neighborhood in the Dutch town of Zaandam. It is an open-air museum where visitors can experience life as it was lived by Dutch people in the 18th and 19th centuries and it is best known for its collection of well-preserved historic windmills.

There are 6 working industrial windmills at Zaanse Schans:
De Huisman – spice mill
De Gekroonde Poelenburg – sawmill
De Kat – paint and dye mill
De Zoeker – oil mill
De Bonte Hen – oil mill
Het Jonge Schaap – sawmill
